I can't connect to the EV3 with WIFI

Yesterday i installed monobrick on my EV3 and all seems working fine, i can ping the brick and i can acces the files with winscp. But when i try to open a connection to him in vb.net i get a “Failed to open connection” exception, and i’m using the test project on the communication library page. Does mean something that i can’t add hidapi.dll to the project as a reference?
